“A new politics for a new time,” Obama says.  We need to get rid of the politics of the past.  Change!  Yada, yada, yada…

I wonder if it ever occurs to these people that “change” is exactly what got us into this mess in the first place.  This country had a sweet deal before we decided to start giving less power to the constitution in favor of more power to the State.  The last few decades, in fact, can hardly be called “the politics of the past” because they’re still going on to this very day.  McCain…Obama…these guys fully represent the politics of the present and future.  They argue about the “issues” but at the end of the next 4 years the State will be the only real winner no matter which one of these idiots becomes our president.

The only way to truly fix the country is to slowly but surely return the the real politics of the past.

Like I said…nice speech Obama, but maybe you should have read the job description before you applied.  It only contains one line:  “I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”  Any president who can’t do this one simple thing is nothing short of a failure.

Now, time to get ready for John McCain’s speech next week.  I wonder how many times he’ll use the word “gooks?”
