Fuck you, INTL GATEWAY.

Category: Stupid, Thoughts

This morning, I received 2 phone calls immediately in a row.  They were from different numbers, but both came up as “INTL GATEWAY.”  The problem is that the calls occurred at 4:30 in the mother fucking morning, waking me up from a deep sleep.  I didn’t answer the calls, and no messages were left.  In researching the phone numbers on the Internet (here and here), I was able to determine that the calls were probably coming from some con artist somewhere.

I will certainly try to answer the phone and record the conversation if they call again; I’ve found that it’s usually pretty easy to make these phone-scam artists look really stupid.  However, if they again dial my number at 4:30 am…they’re gonna have a serious problem.

It took me 3 hours to get back to sleep this morning…

These people are sooo annoying and really pissing me off! They are harrassing my Mother, who is 88 yrs old and convinced by these people that she’s won the lottery and only has to pay XXX amount to get the winnings sent to her. They told her they work for the IRS and even called me this morning at 6:00 with the same bull crap. Caller ID says Intl Gateway. When you call the number back it says it’s disconnected.

I must have gotton at least 12 calls today from this Intl. Gateway they hang up on Me and when I try to call back the number is not in service. How do people get away with this. I think it may be a matter for the Attorney General’s office. I am going to try reverse lookup “Freality” it costs but it will be worth it if I can get a legitamite identity.and I second that emotion FUCK YOU Intl. Gateway!!

  4. Lorraine April 14th, 2008 5:10 pm

International Gateway is a telephone number which calls are routed through. They are untraceable and there is no way to trace the call. From what I understand anyone can set up this account. So beware who you talk to. I just want the calls to stop. I for one will not let this rest!

Unfortunately, it appears that “INTL GATEWAY” is not just one person or group. Like Lorraine mentioned, it’s simply a method of calling the United States from a foreign country, while making it look like it’s coming from a local number (which explains the unusual hours of some of these calls). This fact alone is going to make it really hard for anyone to do anything about this, as laws get really hard to enforce on the global scale.

All we can really do is hope that these assholes get what they deserve someday. If there’s a hell, I’m certain that one circle is reserved for scammers using the international gateway.

I WAS ACTUALLY WAITING ON A AN IMPORTANT PHONE CALL FROM A CLIENT AND THIS INT’L. GATEWAY SHIT POPS UP SO I DID NOT ANSWER IT BECAUSE I THOUGHT THEY WOULD LEAVE A MESSAGE. AFTER I GOT MY CALL I CHECKED MY MESSAGES WHICH NONE WAS FROM THAT #, SO I CALLED IT BACK BECAUSE IT ACTUALLY LOOKED LIKE A LOCAL CELL #, AND THE # WAS DISCONNECTED THAT FAST. THE # WAS 318-402-0992
THE CALLER ID. READ INT’L. GATEWAY. IF THEY ONLY WHO THEY ARE FUCKING WITH.

I did answer the call thinking it was the gate of my development.
The person on the line asked for my husband in spanish, I asked why she needed him and she kept on asking for him. I got really pissed off and told her I wasnt going to put him trough if she didnt explain to me her bussiness, at the end I hung up and she called at least 10 times but left no messages.
I answer the 11th call. And told her to stop calling. She got very upset and actuuly said to me she wasn’t going to stop calling. SHe called at least 4 more times but never left a message. I called back to complaint or something but the message says its disconected.
I sign to the stop calling.com
I dont know where else to complaint.

I happened to find your page when I googled INTL Gateway,
They had called my home phone 3 times today, 05/13/08,
After reading your info, I tried calling the number which
was 941-585-0624, and the same thing happened, the number
is disconnected. I don’t know if calling the Federal Do
not call list, but I will Try, maybe if the Feds get enough complaints they will do something. The number is
    1-888-382-1222.

    Good Luck All

Call the Do Not Call Registry @ 1-888-382-1222. Give them the name and phone number of the person/company who called you. They will give your info to the FBI who will investigate these companies.

I came home from work earlt today and the phone has not stopped ringing. The caller ID keeps coming up Intl Gateway. The voice is that of someone from India. You cannot understand what they are saying. They were trying to get my bank information saying they were giving me a loan. It is a local number that they are calling from. When I call back the number, I keep getting a busy signal. How do they get away with this?

I have received several calls from 601-718-6006 in the last three days but have not answered any of them. When I called the number back I get a busy signal. Before 8:00 a. m. this morning my phone rang again and I had a sleeping baby in bed next to me, who was awakened by the call. This afternoon my phone rang again from this number (Intl Gateway) and I answered it only to find a voice that I could barely understand since the son of a bitch spoke some forgeign language. I told that bastard that I did not care what he was selling and if he ever dialed mhy number again my attorney would be contacting him. This is just so ridiculously annoying.. Can’t anyone do anything about this bull shit….What has America come to????

Started getting these calls a few weeks ago in the 863 area code of Florida. Get about 2 a day. Thanks to all the posts I now know to go ahead and just ZAP the calls. I use a caller ID program on my computer. It’s called phonetray (google it) and it’s totally free. It displays the caller ID on your computer screen and it will even speak the name and number. It has a Zap! feature that is excellent. A call comes in from one of these buggers (or others that you want zapped 800#s, bill collectors, mother in law, hehehehe, etc.) and after the number is displayed you click add to zap calls, pick a pre-recorded message (if you have voice modem) and when the number calls again the program answers the call and plays the message. If you don’t have voice modem you can still set it to pick up on first ring and just hang up. This way your phone only rings once and no worry of taking up time on answering machine. It’s a great feeling when my phone only rings once…every time I can’t help say to myself…”Zapped you bitches, HA!”

Alright, it’s been about 2 years of this for me. Started about once a month, increased to once every two weeks, now once a week. It’s my cell phone they are calling. When I kindly explained that I wasn’t interested today, the guy kept on trying to sell me medications. I said, “I would appreciate it if you took me off your list, as I’m not interested.” He kept on… I then said, “Why are you still trying to sell me shit?” He then called me stupid and said he would put me to the top of the list. So I replied with a logical explanation that calling me is a waste of time as I’m not interested. It will lower their profits and they should focus on those that buy the stuff. He asked me, “why do you abuse me?” I said, “look fucker! you called me and invaded my fucking privacy!” and hung up. Let’s see what happens. But I’m glad to see I’m not alone on this. thanks for the tips and advice!
