We’ve only got a few things left to do really, but here’s a couple of pictures of the place in its nearly done state.  It’s already quite the upgrade from when we moved in.

This is just an update to let you know that there won’t be (m)any updates this weekend.  Perhaps not throughout the week, either.  We’re finally getting some of the big stuff started here in the condo, so I’m hoping to just work hard until it’s all finished.  Priorities and whatnot…

The appearance of part 13 of The Kris Story proves it.  Sorry about the hiatus, but for once I actually had a good reason.  Fixing up a condo is hard work.

Scraping wallpaper and painting:  Both are currently competing to be my new least favorite thing in the world.  After spending hours on a stepladder scraping adhesive off the walls, I thought it couldn’t get any worse.  Painting those walls, however (which I had assumed would be the “easy” part), is proving to be just as fucking annoying.

I think I’ve decided that home ownership kind of sucks a bit…

Holy crap!  We went to Home Depot to get the paint for our interior last night:  $180!  The figure includes 6 gallons of paint (beige, green and red…although I’m sure the woman of the house would refer to them with much fancier names), and all of our supplies.

I’ve also decided that preparing a home for painting really sucks.  We keep meaning to get started, but there’s always an electrical outlet to remove or a corner to tape up.

It’s gonna look really nice one day though…

Announcing one of the major reasons updates have been slow recently:  Autumn and I are moving into a condo.  Based on the following pictures of it, though, you can see that we have a lot of work to do to make it “ours.”  Pretty much everything in the following pictures will be updated to have a much more modern look to it.  I’ll be doing my best to keep you all updated on its progress…
